Shako Iyashi is a Japanese Omakase Restaurant. With social healing being the literal translation, it is a space where people can come to indulge in sushi and sashimi gastronomy.

Shako Iyashi is located in the Coal Handling Shed (CHS). Highlighting the linearity of the CHS was done by framing glass cutouts of the existing track structure that lived below which formulated the rest of the restaurant layout to revolve around it.

The marriage of vibrancy and sophistication fills the interior where materials for this space were strictly chosen for the performance of artificial light and thus, plays on the idea of the white box
